Like all strangers to the Great Tribe there were those who were angry and those who were unwise. One who was both stepped forward--even stranger was that he appeared heavily injured--and he quite blatantly spat on the ground to where Maska had once been. Such an act was both insulting and insubordinate, so Wematin set quickly to his work. This brown wolf would be made a quick example of, although by code he would not injure the man. Instead, he twisted the other man's arm--quick as lightning--and forced him to the ground where he had spat. The black wolf glared right into the injured one's eyes, sending out all his intimidation to strike fear and obedience to the other as he twisted the arm, which no doubt sent pain through his nerves. The white wolfess stepped forward to where they were but stopped herself short, unsure of how to intervene without causing more trouble. She only looked at him in a silent plea, but knew she had no more power. Well enough, it was a lesson in humility for the both of them, and a lesson of where their new places were. It was a lesson that all wolves should obey their new ranks, but even as he let the man go--he was an example, not a criminal...yet--another stepped forward.
This one was from the Great Tribe--an Utina, it appeared--but Wematin went forth as if he were any other transgressor of rank. However, the Utina did nothing but ask a question, and so he only stood directly in front of the other man, a mere foot away, and held his hackles up high. It was not his place to answer these questions, but he did issue his own threat. "You dare call Maska Ahote, Councilman of the Great Tribe, a liar?" Behind him, Shadi had also stepped forward to guard Wematin's flank should anyone else step forward, and both Guardians were radiating their strongest fighter pheromone. The accusation was strong, and should the Utina not back down from it he was faced with treason against his new leader; Maska's word was law.
