Hoo, creepy.

She waited, and waited and waited for someone to indicate she could leave, her anxiety rising as she silently wondered if she had said something wrong. Periwinkle eyes wandered over the somber features of all, of the angry features of some and the confusion in others still. Though the tan warrior had displayed similar sense of submission as she, she wondered if she was the only one who truly respected what was happening. Even Songan, the eldest of the three Amaras, seemed to show an unwillingness to bend to tribe law — she disapproved, and in silence blamed the doggish witch he'd become friends with for this error of judgement.

Relief washed over her as Maska dismissed the group and her pace quickened toward the Town Hall until she heard her name spoken by the Councilman. Unwilling to face punishment for discomfort, she stopped and turned, gaze confused as she studied his face — he was...smiling? At her, something she felt strange in the moment as he had just sentenced her brother to shame. He asked her to linger, he had something to speak with her about. Her wide ears lowered and she gave a nod, wondering internally what it was that he had to say. In the distance, Mongwau let loose a cry of confusion, mirroring the feelings of the Fire Tender.
