Some more Sunki & Lili PP, kick me if you need to XD 500+

One of Maska's guards quickly came face-to-face with him after he spoke his questions and doubts. The man surely thought himself quite intimidating but Nayati was not one to be cowed by raised hackles and a shouted question. His face remained stone even with the Guardian's own visage so close to his own. If he thought that the Utina would retreat back with his tail between his legs he was greatly mistaken. Before he could say a word in response to the grunt though his sister stepped forward quickly and spoke in kinder tones, yet still questioning the validity of all that was happening. Then Chitsa was beside him as well, coming to his defense, but some of what she spoke saddened him. How could she turn against Dawali, her own blood, so easily? She had to know that he could not have done the crimes these fanatic were accusing him of, didn't she? He said nothing though, and only glanced at his friend sidelong with confusion in his pale blue gaze.

The dark man stepped back then, and the female warrior stepped forward. Her words may have been smooth, but they were no more than a snake in Nayati's ears. The hunter glared her down the entire time she spoke, still seeing very little to believe in anything she said. He was not the only one originally from the Great Tribe to have gone back and forth between it and AniWaya since its inception. Asha had, and Aiyanna, and others as well. Chief Aatu had to have known before now. None of this added up in his mind and he looked at the warrior with distrust. Her last words were clearly meant as a threat, but still Nayati stood his ground. He would not be bullied by false words said by a silk tongue, or by malicious threats. Not against himself, anyway.

Then the Councilman called for silence, but his voice was not that of a leader. It was weak and it only instilled more disgust in the Utina man and not even a minor semblance of respect. He talked as if he were Kalona himself, as if he were some god who were above all of them. It infuriated Nayati, though he held his tongue. It was the words of his shrunken and defeated friend that finally struck at his heart though. Sorrow filled his eyes as he looked at Dawali. They have broken you, haven't they my friend? It was the words Chitsa spoke that injected fire back into his veins. He did not take what she spoke as she meant it—to help save him—but only as her disrespecting him and his valid concerns. Hands clenched into fists at his side and his eyes shot icicles at his childhood friend. His lip even raised to show the faintest hint of the deadly teeth hidden beneath before he turned brusquely, put a hand on Sunki's back and guided them both away.

Some more of the tribe were speaking for doing whatever the usurpers told them to do, but Nayati muffled his ears to it all. When they reached Liliana again he touched her arm and lead them all away from the meeting, his anger boiling his blood.
