He wasn't the sort to patrol. Underground, there was no need, but he still enjoyed exploration, as much as a man who ignored the simple pleasures in life could. Silence overtook him as he walked, flipping through a book that held his scratchy, illegible handwriting — a journal of sorts, that allowed him to relive what he had gone through under the Tribunal. Soon, it would be used for better purposes, but for now it housed memories. And these memories allowed him to wander aimlessly without recognizing the world.
Further into the caves he went, ears still tuned into the sounds of the pack; most were familiar to him, but a dull thud caused his head to lift from his reading. Something had...fallen? Vague curiosity getting the better of him, he pressed onward, closing the flesh bound book to keep his attention on the source of the strange noise. It took a moment to find it — she'd managed to lose herself in one of the many unmapped regions — but there she was: the small, brown woman he'd 'greeted' at the borders. Valinta, yes? Yes, Valinta. His nose wrinkled slightly at the sight of her, but because she had passed from the outside and into the family, he did not turn away. Instead, he leaned on a nearby stone wall, red eyes focused on her as she scowled. "They can be overwhelming." His tone was, as it always was, void of feeling and rather soft, but booming in the empty caves.
