Rambling sometime is a good thing. Zalen is so cute when he’s curious.

Zalen cocked his head even more to the side as he watched her move the white stick against the black slab. It made a very annoying sound, barely audible but still. He flicked his ear at the sound but was still curious enough to wonder what she was doing. Walking over to her cautiously Zalen went bent down to all fours, an awkward position in this form. He leaned towards her and sniffed along the edge of the slab. It smelled normal, just like a rock of some kind. He then looked over the slab to see exactly what she was doing and saw a bunch of lines and squiggly marks made in white all over the slab. He recognized it as hume writing similar to the kind he had seen on old buildings. He had no idea what they meant however.

Some of the dust from the white stuff entered his nose and he had to step away quickly before sneezing all over her. He settled across from her, sitting on his haunches, and smiled apologetically for the sneeze. Name’s Zalen, pleasure to meet you this fine morning Soran. He stretched a little bit, obviously very relaxed in front of her. It was nice to meet strangers though he had to admit his last run in with a female had been slightly disastrous. He recalled that day, when he had caught the female named Luna after she had fallen from a tree and then how he had been struck in the head with a branch and how he had then stupidly kissed her for no reason. He shook his head the memory, what a dunce he was. But he felt a lot better in front of this woman. Just two dark figures in a misty morning.

With a content sigh he focused on Soran again, May I ask what you are doing with that slab there?
