She still hadn't decided if she wanted to move herself from the Caverns to the dark room at the end of the hall. Ende. Cotl's room. Wasn't that what mates did? They moved into the same space, they shared the same items, they created carefully formed families? She couldn't remember what Gabriel and Faolin had been like — she could remember her mother, and she could remember her father, but all of the specifics were blurry. Was she expected to leave her comfortable den for the German's space? Did she think she could? Hidden under the earth and painted on the walls was the lover she now grieved for, could she leave him behind?

The questions overwhelmed her enough to make her flee the stoney walls of the place she'd settled. It was different there without Gabriel — she didn't feel as safe as she originally had. Still, she didn't go to Cotl. No, the fire-eyed princess made her way to the backyard arch that she'd helped to create. Half of her wanted to see her cousin, for Enkiel so often helped ease her moods with his quiet attitude, but the other half simply wanted to study the mansion. The paint on the side had started to fade and maybe it was time to do another mural — but did she have the equipment necessary? Did she have the time? A sigh escaped her, fingers tapping briefly on her pregnant belly as she tried to think of how best to pass the time...without thinking of her new life situation.
