Skye was good in the fact she gave no warning of her attack, Shaw knew that she would not hurt her, though the dagger was real and she had to come closer for her to get him before he got her, he just saw the dagger in time to swurve out of the way, and back step to swing his sword at her exposed back, how long it would take her to move away was up to her, but he had full control of his blade and he would not let it cut her at all.
