She knew that her ploy had worked when the flat side of her blade whacked Shawchert lightly - not on the shoulder, as she had aimed, but on the lower hip, as he had spun around to miss her blow. She grinned at him - he was holding his shoulder, but since she hadn't put any force into the feint, she was sure that he was alright. She was winded herself, and the side of her - her left side - that had grazed Shawchert's sword stung a bit; she touched it before letting her hand fall limp at her side and grinned at her friend again as he asked for a second round.
"No problem - I'll go easy on you," she said, laughter in her voice; this was truly fun. She distanced herself, holding her knife up for defence; she had gotten the first hit last time, so she'd let him attack first this time.
