Sorry for the delay, I've been trying to get up to speed with him X-X

It was by chance he heard the approach, and chided himself for wanting to flee. Savina was right—he needed to see others. A deep breath was taken to ensure he did not move and startle the fish. Of course, he could not hide his reaction when he spotted the woman. Shock played across his features; she was a dog! A dog without a tail! Gotham had only ever seen another dog, and Io had been…well, unique. He couldn’t remember much from those days, for alcohol had fueled him and wiped away the memories.

But this woman, she was unique and had a high-worn style of hair he did not recognize. If she had been paler, he might have thought her albino because of her eyes. Remembering his manners suddenly, Gotham’s ears went back slightly and he looked apologetically back at his feet. “Just trying to fish,” he explained. Trying made him sound like a child, but most of his teenage cockiness had been shattered when he had to face his mother and realize what a monster he had become. Suddenly, though, something was equally as interesting as the water around his paws. “What was that you spoke?” It sounded similar to Italian, but the inflection was different.
