Slender yet muscular arms lifted the heavy packages of valuables onto his blonde shoulders as he walked towards the two black family members; father and son, and the horses picked out for this trip. It was with a nod he greeted them both, but his back turned to them soon after to retrieve the remaining packages, these consisting only of soft hides and silky furs. There were teeth polished into simple daggers, jewellery and sowing equipment, scavenged human goods that could still bring in a good deal on the free market. There were dried herbs and dried meats, both for trading and to keep the travelling company with food. The blonde hoped they would make use of free game if possible, though, for they had a good deal to trade, and he’d rather prefer if they could increase their amount of trading goods along the way to Freetown rather than have it decrease to feed hungry mouths.

When the Protégé returned to his team, he had the black man help him fasten the valuables to horsebacks. On top of it all, Itachi packed the wide, dark coat that he had taken a fancy to use in spring. Summer had proved too warm for it to be necessary, but he didn’t know how the weather would be where they were going. He had never taken a step outside of ‘Souls territory, so he was ignorant as a child. But he was ready. Sirius had put a lot of trust in him, and as long as no own desires outweighed Salsola’s boss’ needs, Itachi was more than happy to oblige. The elegant weapon was fastened to the rest of the packages as well, for it would only bring in unfortunate weight to one side while he travelled. Sunset eyes investigated the horses, but he would prefer making this journey on his own feet if achievable. The mounts had their own weights to carry, and he wanted to see how long endurance could take him.
