The female wandered around the packlands of Anathema, wary of actually entering the caves themselves. The last time she did, she had gotten lost. Exactly as she had thrice before. It was difficult for her, mostly due to the sense of helplessness she got once she lost her sense of direction. Valinta stared at the dark mouth of the cave and sighed, trying to prepare herself to enter.
It wasn't so much as she was scared. The chocolate-furred entity would be able to get in the caves and to her own den much more easily if that were the case. It was really just her not liking the ordeal. Bracing herself, despite her misgivings, she went into the cave and immediately felt cooler than she was before, outside. Keeping one hand along the wall as her eyes adjusted to the darkness, she stepped forward.
Making her way somewhere, she lifted her head. She could smell food, so she was... near the kitchens? She thought that she was in the commons, but wasn't sure. They were close to the kitchens, though, weren't they? Keeping her nose in the air and following the scent of foodstuffs, the petit form that was Valinta made her way towards the source of the smell.
Finally somewhere she recognized, the kitchens, she climbed up onto a wooden stool and looked around, enjoying her sudden height that came with the perch. Valinta surveyed the kitchens and leaned against the wall, happy to enjoy the aromas until she figured out exactly where her home in the caves was. Food smelled great and was much more enjoyable than the musty, damp smell of an unused cave, where she oft ended up while 'exploring' the caves.
But she was rescued each time, so it was all fine and good. Closing her eyes briefly, she let the smells waft over her and sighed in enjoyment. The kitchens were always her favorite place to be in her homeland. It appeared it would be that way in her new homeland as well.
