WC: 613. SMASHING. You know, you have to admit that Nigel had an impressive mustache.

A smile remained painted on her face, though it was genuine. Heat rose onto her pale face when he complimented her, but Giselle was sure he was trying to be the gentleman. "Well thank you~" She lyricized, tucking ribbons of stray hair away from her eyes. The young woman would never admit to having spent so much time to get dressed that morning, for in the back of her mind she worried about what he would think of her outfit. It never occurred to Giselle before to care about what others thought of her colorful dresses and girlish get-up, but on that day it did. Her shoulders slackened a bit, relieved that a part of her anxiety diminished.

And yet it remained, the butterflies in her stomach, which made the dark haired girl antsy and unable to sit still for very long. Even as they began their trek towards the lake, Giselle looked for the place she thought would be perfect. As they walked in the general direction she knew about, close to the lake's edge all the while, Giselle attempted to keep herself busy by dancing, twirling, and thinking of anything else but her worries. The naivety of the girl, coupled with the need to distract herself from looking at the male who walked alongside her, kept her from noticing the books he clutched or the way his emerald eyes kept on her form.

Powder blue eyes spotted something colorful ahead in the brush, and the ivory damsel rushed towards it. Setting the picnic basket down for a moment, without much thought she reached her hands out towards the shiny oval object, until it moved and startled the girl. It was a large beetle, and immediately it beat its buzzing wings and disappeared. Giselle gasped in surprise, and without realizing it she backed away and into the tall boy. "Ah!" She said, reacting by recoiling sideways. Her small hands flew up to her lips in embarrassment, staring wide-eyed at him. Opening her mouth to apologize, he already began to speak, plastering a toothy and comical grin on his face.

Giselle couldn't help but giggle at the expression, her form stooping to pick up the basket again. "Of course not, we're almost there~" Giselle said, taking a few steps ahead of the boy and turning to face him, the bottom of her dress spinning in the motion. She began to walk backwards a few steps, clutching the basket in both of her hands. "What sort of enchanting books did you bring along?" The young woman spoke, without really knowing that her literature differed greatly from the young man's. The pale princess spun on her toes again, now walking forward side by side with the tall boy and looking up at him. His messy orange locks, she noticed, didn't seem as messy that day, but it was hard to tell from where she stood. Silvano was remarkably tall, after all.

Before she could await his answer, however, Giselle's head turned and her face lit up when she recognized the open area. "We're here!" Her voice was filled with glee, as if it were about to burst at the seams. With a happy squeal, she skipped on ahead to the water's edge. The area chosen for their resting spot was full of lush, green grass, the trees circling around the spot and providing ample shade. Small flowers peeked out from among the earth, making the place as beautiful and soft as if untouched and undiscovered. Until now. 'Elle set the basket down and began to admire the place, moreso than when she first laid eyes upon it, and drank in the perfect scene of nature.
