In that brief moment, swept up by lights and merriment and dreams, there was no other place the young princess cared to be. No kingdom had ever been more perfect than those woods that glowed like stars, as if the sky had gotten a closer look at the world and graced all those present with its light. She felt the light touch of the lightning bugs that fluttered along their skin, and a shiver crawled up her spine when the male's hand moved around, holding her there. The ivory female wondered briefly if the prince had felt this stir of a dream, and wanted to hold on as long as possible, but any more words would only break the gentle surface.

He felt his chest move slightly as he laughed under his breath, a different tone than what she was used to hearing from this male. She was near to closing her eyes and losing herself in it all, but powder blue eyes popped open when he admitted his lack of skill. Giselle almost lifted her head to look incredulously at him, until she felt a soft pressing weight upon the dark waves of her hair, and thought otherwise. Her face lay pressed there, lingering in the scent that said everything about him, smiling into his lengthy fur. Even if he never danced in his life, Giselle could admit too that she never had a partner aside from her papa. Still, the pair had put aside all of that and moved as one.

And then, all at once, the prince was a knight again. She felt him pulling, and suddenly they were apart, save the connected his hand made on her arm. Softly, almost forcefully, she gazed up at him, and he was Silvano once more. The scholar with messy brown hair and an ever studious look on his painted face. And she was the young woman with a head full of hopes and dreams, yearning for her one desire in life. But now... now there was something more Giselle found under those stars, and could not - would not - put it into words. Though he was who he was, the male had at least made one of her heart's wishes come true. When she looked into his eyes once more, she saw it there, but there was also a twinge of sorrow. It reflected in her own powdered gaze, a full moment of sadness that the clock had struck, and all must be forgotten.

The feeling stuck in her gut, and her heart sank back to where it belonged. But sadness would not be an option on such a perfect night, and it had its enchanting ending. Quickly she tried to replace the emotion, head tilted up towards him with a full smile that lit up her countenance. "Oh, yes. Of course.." Her own voice seemed lost, and small like a child's would. Giselle nodded, if only to reassure herself, still not wanting to float back down from her cloud of mirth. She could not put into words what this day had meant to her, and so the mahogany haired woman expressed it.

Stepping forward, she lifted her arms to embrace him around the neck, but could only comfortably settle her hands near his collarbone and press the side of her face against his darker form. "Thank you," she whispered, just enough to be heard. And just as quickly that the warmth of his larger form embraced her she pulled away, feeling somewhat sadder, like closing a book she never wanted to end. Offering a small smile, she quickly stepped around him and made to head back towards the way they came. Giselle walked slowly, feeling her feet grow heavy despite how light on them she usually was, walking away from it all - the lights, the dancing; and the dream of the prince that had held her so close, and still so far.
