Leon sat on the roof of the manor, contemplating the weapon he had picked up on his trip to Halifax, over two months ago. The weapon, a pole-arm with a curved blade on one end, was known to the humans as a 'Naginata', apparently from across the seas. In the time he had the weapon, he had practiced wielding it as he practiced his hunting and tracking skills. But he was still discontented with his lack of skill concerning his weapon.

And so, here he sat, considering how to use this. He rose to his feet and spun it in his right hand, then leveled it out, gripping the staff firmly as he set his feet in a wide stance. He put his left foot forward to execute a high sweep- and froze.

Coming from the west, the hunter heard the call to arms. He wasted no time in hoping off the roof of the manor, falling the distance to land in a crouch. He rose and took off towards the call, his new weapon leaned over his right shoulder as he sprinted at his maximum speed towards the calling Dreamer.

The Timber had just arrived at Koender Windmill when he heard the howl pass him to his right. He turned his head and listened carefully to the receding howl for a moment before turning back to the west. Whatever was here had forced the Dreamer to flee back towards the manor. Leon didn't quite know what to expect out in the woods, but he did know this; Something was invading his home, and he was going to find it, and if within his strength, kill it. He crossed the Mill's yard and entered the forest, moving slowly, allowing his natural dark coat to turn him into a shadow as he covered the naginata’s blade with its cloth wrapping, allowing his hunting instincts to take over. After all, that what this was all about until battle was joined.

It was cold. It was dark.

It was time to hunt.

And Leon was one hell of a hunter.
