Markus gave a bit of a nod back to Reed as he spoke again, a small smile playing about his maw. It was good to see them again, after being so long apart. It was good to be back together. And if Markus had brought along a new addition, well, that was alright, too. He didn't care much that Aisling was missing from their lives; she hadn't been good enough for his Eva, anyway. She hadn't been good enough, period. She'd taken advantage of him during an experimental time in his life, and while it had straightened him out again, he wouldn't ever forgive her. Not enough to let her back into their daughter's life, anyway. He didn't plan on hiding that from Eva.
Eva, for her part, was overjoyed. She kept gazing intently at Reed and then Francois, and then at her daddy, before starting all over, curious. Finally, she spoke up--not that she'd stopped--and brought up her question. Unca Franny-Fran 'n Daddy 'n stranger-person look same. She declared, and rubbed her nose thoughtfully over her paw. Unca 'n Daddy 'n...Unca Unca? She asked, and for once paused, waiting for an answer. At least, until Reed came over and spoke to her, making her grin widely. Coot! Pwetty! Eva coot 'n pwetty! She chanted, and began running in circles again, prancing.
Markus laughed, a full-bellied chuckle, and said, to Eva's great surprise, She's my little princess.
