Tawny watched with a small smile as Razekiel looked over the necklace she’d crafted for him. It wasn’t her best work, but she thought it looked great with his eclectic personality and appearance. She wiggled closer and leaned against his legs, taking the smallish bone dagger into her little hands and looking it over with wide eyes. He was giving her something…that did not happen too often. A few little tears welled up in her eyes and she snuggled against his chest, her arms wrapping around his middle.
There was no hard crying or sobs, just a few tears of happiness and friendship shared between her and him. Embarrassed, the girl pulled away and started to pack her things back into her bag, cleaning up after herself. Th-thank you, Raz-z… She frowned and shook her head, having a hard time spitting his complicated name out in such an emotional state. Sighing, the girl scooped her bag up onto her back and sat near the door, watching the man. She knew it was time to leave. Gifts had been exchanged and there was nothing left to say.
Sighing softly, the young woman darted forward and left a long, wet kiss up the side of Razekiel’s face, grinning and laughing before darting out of the hut. She needed to get back to her own place before the sky began to darken. She wasn’t afraid of the dark…more afraid of the things that lurked around the forest when the sun went down. There was only a mile or so in between her home and the male leaders’ though, so she’d make good time without getting caught up too many times. Of course, this was Tawny and she had to stop and investigate all of the odd things she saw sticking out of the ground. By the time she got home, another armload of junk was dumped by the door and she collapsed into her little bedding area, asleep almost before her head hit the soft skins.
