He was sure that Mizu, at least if she was well enough, would be happy to watch the pups. And Ahiga, Aleu and Alaster would be back by then, and they'd finally be able to meet their pseudo cousins. Yes, they would have a wonderful party when all the trouble blew over.

As Ayasha's attack came, a swift strike to his waist, he crouched, the impact hitting the staff which he had laid against his arm to take in the whack. She was ready for his attack, so moving the staff against his arm into a better position. Attacking with the opposite staff, Ayasha defended with her own. And seizing his oppertunity he used the other one to strike at hers legs. Gently, but enough to knock her down.
