Glass Cats On The Wall

Left with her two children, Talitha was painting the likeness of her lost son's father once more on the wall of her father's cave. It had been days since she'd seen him last, days that had caused his scent to fade. He'd taken Cernunnos to Alaine, and now all they had to do was wait for him to return so she could ask about the welfare of her offspring and request his den as her own -- after all, she had five pups to attend to, and her space was far too small for all of them.

The call distracted her from her work and surprised her. Sa'adat? Well, Sa'adat barely spoke English, how could she possibly need Talitha? Still, the autumn-hued de le Poer huffed and went to be the attentive subleader she tried to be. She could at least make Ezekiel proud even if Gabriel never would be. The trek across the territory was a long one, as she was content taking her sweet time, but familiar as she followed a path she had taken so many times before. The scene was surprising -- the jackayote who almost never left the side of her medic cousin and a stranger across the borders. She snorted. "I think you should stick with Enkiel, he's better looking and probably more intelligent." She watched as the jackal woman's eyes widened, both confused and embarrassed at the outburst.

Talitha approached the stranger with apathy, studying him over crossed arms. "What do you want." It was a simple question, one she couldn't get an answer from Sa'adat for, and was only the start of the long list she was prepared to bludgeon into him.
