Those that met him hardly ever recognized his calculating mind past the childlike persona that he put on. Hardly any ever realized just how sharp his mind was and that he analyzed each situation and possible outcomes in order to react accordingly. He allowed for others to think him dense simply because it was the easiest way to end up enforcing his will. All of their misconceptions about him left them with their guard down. That most certainly worked to Bastion's advantage. The small male knew his own weaknesses and how he would never win anything on an even playing field. It was why he played up the helpless child card so often. To do so just turned things in his favor more often than not.
He was uncertain if his silent instructions had been easy enough to pick up on. He didn't wish to do anything outright that couldn't be played off as a case of nerves. And well, this was the first time that the two Salsolans had worked together so signals would be easy to misread. Bastion was used to just dealing with Janos and having him seem to very nearly read his mind. Even so Itachi had continued to move and Basti had done what he could to get the point across that the blonde male should be the one to instate the capture.
The small male tilted his head to the side as he listened to the older gentleman's accented way of speaking. "Be fun." He assured the other in clipped tones. "I take toy." The boy pointed towards Cassius's weapon to indicate what he was referring to. He had no clue about what it was or its intended use. To him it just looked like a fun trinket to play with. Bastion held out both of his hands in clear anticipation that it would be passed off to him without any sort of struggle. After all what had he done to give the other a reason to distrust him? As far as he knew he had played his part carefully. And well, he really wanted to get the weapon away from the other before Itatchi made his move in order to make it one less factor.
