pleasure to meet you, birdy.

The musky smell of earth permeated the woody valley, the gigantic limbs of ancient trees protecting any wanderer from the sharp and powerful rays of the sun overhead. The herbivores frolicked amongst themselves, with what the birds cheeping and the squirrels chattering in their fast and unintelligible language. They were completely oblivious to the one gigantic carnivore that could so easily end their lives – a very large, muscular and alabaster form stretched out with all of the contentment of a very satisfied dog. Easily, such a beast could consume at least a large portion of its weight in one meal. At the moment, however, it was laid on its side with legs sprawled outwards and belly slightly skyward. To the untrained eye it appeared as if this creature was in a very deep sleep, a sort of coma that which not even a rampaging elephant could awake them from. On the other hand, one with training would easily be able to see the subtle placements of limbs and the careful twitching of the ears and nose. Aware, one might call it. On guarde was another expression.

The jowls were slightly parted, rather wolf-like in appearance, though significantly larger. This created a barrier between jugular vein and air, between voice box and certain death. These lips were red in color, though not because of some fresh meat that had been ripped apart previously by disturbingly long fangs. In fact, if one looked close enough, the entirety of the not-quite-wolf was decidedly colorless. The color of worn stone in the shadows, the peculiar musculature and wide bone structure immediately gave the idea of a male. A groan erupted from the back of the animals throat and it was decidedly feminine. An odd combination for a brusque figure; a purely masculine body and a lovely, magical voice. This groan was the result of tense muscles being pulled at a quick stretch of limbs.

A large and rather irritating squawk announced the arrival of a particularly tasty bird. Slowly, though her belly was quite full, the albino raised her head to fix the annoying fiend with her devilish, sanguine gaze. Her lips quirked, then were pulled back into a vicious smile filled with teeth and hatred. Unfortunately, the daring rodent with wings failed to notice its death nearby. “One chance to shut up.” she announced in a discontented mutter, more of a growl than anything else. It should have been enough to scare the animal into flight, but for some reason it instead picked its way merrily to her feet. It watched her for a moment and then let out one tremendous, loud, and ear-shattering mating call.

As fast as lightning her mouth opened and closed about the neck of such an ignorant prey animal. Whilst crunching bird bones, feathers sticking from her teeth and sticky blood splattered about her muzzle, Pirate huffed mercilessly. [/html]
