Of Deer and Ichika

TOO LAZY FOR TABLES. D:<

The prospect of chasing deer was making her entire body shake violently. She really wanted to go get in the mud and muck, right in the middle of the trampling feet, snapping and growling. There was danger in chasing deer, and danger in being in front of those hooves and antlers. However, Tawny would do whatever she had to do to rip the life out of one of the beasts. Bloodlust was something that had surprised her the first time she had taken down a deer by herself. It was addicting and she wanted to do it again and again.

The call came shortly after they had found their positions in the dark shadows of foliage. As soon as she sensed Jace moving, the smaller girl darted forward and burst through the bushing. Growling and barking in an odd wolfish way, she snapped her teeth at the ankles of any deer that got in her way. The simple creatures were flipping out completely, running as fast as they possibly could, stumbling and running into plants and other debris of the forest. It wasn’t long before Tawny could smell the Ichikans laying in wait. However much she wanted to leap up and land herself on the back of the buck running in front of her, she was growing tired from the chase.

The sights and sounds of canines leaping from the brush was a shock, but she quickly realized what was going on and slid herself to a stop. Giving the left over deer room to run away and trotting closer to the ones that were being taken down. Groaning softly, she sank to the ground and stretched out, jaws parting in a huge yawn that showed off her sharp white teeth. Rolling onto her back, she kicked her paws into the air and yipped happily. There would be delicious fresh meat to eat soon, and then perhaps she’d be able to snuggle with Jace for a while before going home…
