They were mischievous the two. They had traveled up from the place that they called 'home' for now to the fallen city of Halifax. They were originally looking for things that would make the castle a little bit more homely, maybe some German flags, and some beds, and some candles. Perhaps they could get something to eat while they were out, for the male seemed to have an insatiable hunger in the pit of his stomach. He always seemed to have this hunger lately, and he didn't know why. It had been shortly after he had murdered his father in cold blood that this hunger had started. He wondered briefly if it was a hunger to kill. He figured that it probably was something of that nature. Diedrich had been slightly disappointed when Raiden's beautiful singing had ceased because it was one of the only things that made Diedrich smile and be happy about life. He knew that the singing stopped because of something else though. Diedrich had to open his eyes to see a golden male crossing the path of the two, though they were hidden in the shadows so it had been doubtful that the golden beast had recognized their presence. When the two had seen the golden beast and his blue backpack, his brother got this look on his face that reflected onto Diedrich's own maw. He knew what his brother was thinking, because that look meant that they were in for a hunt, a chase of sorts, a game. Diedrich loved games.

His bangs were getting in his eyes, and it was quite annoying to him. Why he'd pick this hairstyle had been beyond him, but he had needed some sort of change when coming to his new life here, in Canada. He still had his dreadlocks, which were now shortened from their long, once shoulder length self. He huffed lightly, which made his ivory bangs blow out of his face, and to one side. He was glad that they at least would stick on one side so he wasn't completely blind. Acidic eyes analyzed his surroundings. They had no clue where they were, but it had been suitable for him to take to the trees. He looked back at his brother and looked at the treetops after that, silently signaling to his brother that he was going to be taking to the trees. He did not wait for the approval before he had dug his claws into the bark of a tree that was thick enough for him to perch in. The man seemed to slither up the tree, using those worked muscles for what he was trained for. It only would take him a few seconds until he would disappear up in the shadows of the treetops, and he made sure to be careful about where he would sit, so that he would make little to no sound if he needed to move, yet he was under enough cover to where it was not particularly easy to spot him. He then sat there and watched.

His attention was taken by the presence of a golden male. Acidic orbs watched the male, and his pupils dilated to look at the male and to adjust to the sunlight. His head cocked when the male sat there at the bank of the river. It didn't seem that Diedrich's cover was blown, so he remained where he was. His eyes then would touch his own mimicked pelt on the twin, minus the roach back that Ryuzaki had gratefully given the De Gama male, the heir to the De Gama name and throne, whatever that meant. His ears listened to the other male, him taking that thickly German voice that he had, that they both had. He chuckled in his mind rather than out loud because the child (he considered his brother a child in the mind rather than the body) had spoken in German all the way through to the golden male, even though as far as they had seen, not very many others seemed to have spoken the language in this place. Diedrich watched, amused by his brother and his games that he was starting.
