"He know. Same thing warned before." Yes, Bastion had actually let Darijus off with a lighter punishment and a warning that should he do so again then the consequences would be harsher. It wasn't out of nowhere as it would seem. But rather that the slave seemed unable to learn his lesson and the same instructions had to be repeated over and over again. There were other slaves here and they hadn't experienced such cruelty from Bastion, at least not when it was undeserved. Twilight had learned quick that it was easier to submit than to fight. Life had become so much easier on her once she adhered to that lesson. Bastion wasn't above praise and rewards for a job well done. He simply wouldn't tolerate disobedience.
"Work time. No sleep." The small male added on another reason for the slave to be punished even if that hadn't been the reason behind Bastion's treatment. Instead it just served as another mark against him. Too many marks and Bastion would see about replacing him. Of course he would mention it to the leadership but he doubted that he would be denied what it was that he wanted. A disobedient slave was a worthless one. If they had to discipline more than work would come out of them then there was no reason to keep them about. At least that was Bastion's opinion on the matter. "If no listen no reason to keep. Get one that listen. Twilight good girl. Twilight listen."
It would make sense to refer to each other as siblings because the pack called itself family after all. "Bastion." Just like with all of his other sentences he didn't even bother with a complete name. It didn't quite matter though. If anyone were to have hear of him by name then they would have heard of Bastion. Or else there might be some talking about a child in the high ranks. Either way it was Bastion in which they spoke of. He was used to the underestimation, and actually thrived on it.
