The silver-painted Princess of the Dreamers felt sickened by everything that had been going on in her home lately. On a personal level, she was getting better, stronger in more ways than she thought she could possibly count. Her only true worries had been whether or not Cypress was okay, wherever he was, though maybe she was just projecting her concern for Crimson Dreams onto him. She did not know why she was so frightened and hurt by his absence. The Marino girl wished he would have at least said something to her before disappearing without so much as a wave.

As it had been since she had woken from her slumber in February, the lake remained her constant rock. Artemis spent most of her time there, perhaps too much time. She had met many on the shores there, most recently Liliana and her two young children. When she did not know what to do with herself, or when she had things to think about, the lake was her first destination. Sometimes she sat with her toes in the water, sometimes she skipped rocks, and sometimes she simply watched the way the wind rippled the water.

It was the lake that had heard her troubles, her sorrows, her worries, her fears. It was the lake she went to now, filled with worry for the friend she had noticed was missing. As she approached, however, soft blue eyes narrowed as she saw him sitting there. Artemis almost did not believe it, but his scent was unmistakable, tainted though it was by many foreign smells now. With her hands on her hips, the Marino girl marched to where he sat, looking down at him with cat-like slits instead of eyes. "Where the hell have you been?" she asked in the typically loud voice associated with her heritage.
