The question of who his father was had never crossed Artemis' mind, such as it were, and she had never pictured him running off to find him. Unlike others, she did not hold it against him that he was gone and Anu had been captured. The Dreamer princess was angry that he hadn't told her where he was going, or that he was even going to be gone in the first place! It would have been much better if he had just told her, honestly. Soft blue eyes narrowed at the simple way he answered the demanding question she had asked, then asked one of his own. He should know!
"I was worried about you!" she responded, again very loudly, tossing her hands up in the air in a gesture of extremely exaggerated exasperation. The silver-dappled girl did not know why she had been so worried, and now that she knew he was okay, she had an odd sense of sickening relief. Much was wrong with the pack, but at least Cypress was safe now that he was back from his impromptu absence from the pack.
Now that her outburst was out of the way, the once-adventurous canine marched to where he sat and lowered herself next to him, stretching out her legs and leaning back on her palms. "So what's he like?" she asked, hoping to avoid any long conversation about why she was so worried about him. Artemis didn't even know, herself. She could hardly explain it to him.
