He pushed against the floor, eyes narrowed and ears flat against his head, and sensed rather then saw her arm come towards him. Gabriel pulled back and it was then she moved, finally. Instinct took over and he was running after her like a fiend, after her until the red vision faded and she pulled away. Then Gabriel was left alone, bleeding, burning, and wanting nothing more then to end both their lives.
