Saxif couldn’t believe what had taken place in the past month. She had lost everything, her mate, her home, her happiness and now her hunting. She looked down at the sorry useless arm that rested upon her lap. Jager, her worried steed wanted to venture forth to find help at a greater speed but each time his trot rose Saxif would growl or gasp in pain. The broken huntress was covered in cuts, but the gash across her chest was still the most noticeable. Its stitches had torn open and the wound had bled once more. Though the minute her arm broke she thought her life was over but she figured she wasn’t going to give up just yet.
She started to wonder what would happen if she did not make it to the borders of Anathema. She had kept her eyes off Leon as they travelled. She really she hated seeing the ones she loved worry about her. It was one thing knowing you were weak but a complete other thing to actually appear weak.
When they did reach the borders she let out a sigh of relief. She smirked feeling embarrassed that not only had her wound reopened but she was riddled with more to care for. She didn’t regret going though she just regretted getting into a confrontation she was not up to par for. The thing she hated most about the trip back to Anathema was the dizzy spells. She shut her eyes gripping onto Jager’s mane as another wracked her. She had been knocked unconscious for a short time but the effects of the blow still stuck with her. She felt Leon’s arm carefully settle on her shoulders, as it must have appeared she was about to fall. Though she hated him seeing her like this it was always such a comfort to have him there watching over her.
