The white puppy nearly burst with excitement when his mother crowed happily and lifted the little chipmunk, as well as praising his skill. Giggling softly, the boy licked her leg and then pranced away, leaving the dead rodent with his mother. It was time to socialize! All of the people there in the big room…in weird clothes, looked very interesting. The pup’s head dropped to the side, ears forward as his curiosity took a hold of his legs and propelled him towards his brothers. The fact that they were dressed up and not himself was frustrating and made him a little bit sad.

Big sister Caprica was there with the darker boys, standing across the room from Mother and talking to someone else that Octa wasn’t too acquainted with yet. He parted his muddy jaws in a silly little grin at the black furred girl as he got closer, then came to a pouty stop in front of his brothers. Why I no get…um…g-get that! He stuck his nose up and glared at the crown on Severus’ head, looking all pretty and making him seem magnificent. Ears falling back against his skull, he looked up at Caprica and whimpered.

C-Ca..p-pri…why I not get, too?! His pouty little baby face was in full effect now, eyes wide and sad, ears drooping and head tilted at a low angle, soft whimpers breaking from his throat. The effect was broken when his mother cleared her throat to gain everyone’s attention, causing all of the canines in the room to turn slightly so they could see their Angela. The announcement was totally lost on the pups, as they didn’t really know what the ranking system was yet. That did not stop Octavius from turning to look at the dark man he knew to be Alaki, as often interacted with the pups’ mother. Something important was going on, and the little pup made a note to go to the dark man and inquire about it later.
