How Loud Are the Drums of War?

Assuming Armis is inside with the prisoners. Sky starts the chaos in and around the hut like a good little crazy. Big Grin

Sky had been listening to the silence for too long. She still sat with folded legs on the bed, glaring at the guardian inside the hut. Armis, she'd learned his name was. He was a timber wolf, about a year older than her at most. Before the battle outside had started, she'd been harassing him idly from the bed. He'd told her to shut up multiple times but, obeying his orders, had managed to hold back from gutting her.

She did have a nasty black eye though. A punch to the face that she'd almost laughed off hesterically. Outside there were others, more guardians ready to defend the hut, to keep their hostages inside. Sky didn't care. Even though Armis, as she'd learned, was watching... she was slowly shifting. Under the hidden protection of the blanket, he'd never know until it was too late.

Armed or not, Sky's secui form was something to fear. A mixture of speed and strength she didn't normally possess in either of her other forms. Her secui form wasn't controlled by calm thought. Sanja guided her every move in that beastial shape and she'd long since stopped ignoring the dark wolf inside her head.

She just needed on good distraction, something to turn his head... then she'd strike and her escape would be initiated. The battle outside was silent compared to the blood rushing in her ears, the cold, hard stare she was sending his way. Aren't you wondering what all is happening out there, dog of Maska? She bit out before her shift could change her voice.

Armis sneered. "I already know what's happening, mutt. Your rescue parties are being slain without mercy. This war will be won tonight."

You're right about one thing, Armis. Sky grinned wickedly, her voice having finally shifted with the rest of her. This war will be won.

She didn't give him the time to react. Her legs launched her from the bed, blanket flung behind her, and latched herself onto his arm as he moved to defend himself. He spun and she let go, sliding a few feet away in strike position, ready for his retaliation. He snarled something in AniWayan and lunged towards her. Sky was ready, mouth open and muscles waiting for the precise moment to counter. IT ENDS NOW!
