When Terra pulled back from the young deer she could understand why larger prey were always taken in her old pack. There was very little meat left, and it had only been the two of them. Her lessons on how to deal with deer and the like had served her well, keeping her away from the flashing hooves and power that accompanied them. Leaning back Terra began licking the blood from her fur. She didn't want to be a mess when she began her travels, and blood always attracted the wrong attention.
Stretching Terra shifted back into her lupine form, and smiled up at the man that had taught her the basics of fighting. For the first time in her life there were more options than hiding and fleeing when faced with another canine, though it would be some time before she could put those actual skills to use. Thank you. Terra bobbed her head sharply and headed out into the forest, unsure of where she was going. Sooner or later she'd find what she was looking for, but for now Terra remained a wanderer on the wind.
