This was not what he had expected at all. _____ Now Slade too, was retreating away from Pilot. He had dismissed him because he thought he was going to have to escort Deuce. With her gone, he could fully deal with Slade now. Too bad he had left at Pilot’s dismissal. But then, how would Pilot punish him? He needed to talk to Phoenix. This authority stuff was new to him, and even though he knew right from wrong, Pilot wasn’t sure how to make Slade understand the lesson.
