Big Grin yay!

The exile had had an interesting time sparring with a member of the Court a few days prior, when trying to circle around the packlands. Afterwards, he found himself drifting back north east to territories that he had ventured through before, rather than continuing westward. He seemed to have fallen into a nomadic sort of lifestyle in this region for the past few weeks. Typically in his travels he would not remain in one place for too long, always ready to move on to the next mystery location lying just ahead of him. While his constant moving had not changed, the fact that he’d spent a number of weeks in this region already was surprising to him.

The area he found himself in now was a fairly familiar place. The warrior remembered chasing down a successful hint through this winding forest path a couple of weeks prior. He wondered if he would be successful here again today, but pushed the thought aside quickly. One thing at a time. He recalled the presence of a river nearby and was hoping to rediscover its shores. He walked alongside the dark horse Stranger, one hand loosely gripping the reins and the other hooked into the belt at his waist by the thumb. A pleased smile came unbidden to his features when he finally heard the welcome sounds of the rushing water.

Yet as he approached, he discovered that he was not the only one to visit the river’s shores that day. At the sight of the other canine, Stranger snorted in agitation and attempted to pull away from Dresden. The stallion managed to wrest the reins away from his grip and hurried over to the waterside for a drink—keeping a generous distance from the strange wolf. The husky sighed in agitation at the rebellious creature. “Damn horse. Fine, do what you want.” He didn’t feel like fighting with the stubborn stallion right now. At any rate, there were more important things to consider at the moment. Icy blue eyes turned to regard the stretching canine at the riverside, taking in his pale coat and the strange clothing he wore. Unlike the stallion, Dresden did not make a mad dash for the water, instead remaining where he stood watching the stranger in silence.
