Denver sniffed at the air stiffly, turning away from the man to glare at the horse as he smoothed his hand over his shirt one more time. The stallion was massive, and could easily trample and kill Denver. It made him nervous that the beast was loose, untethered, and so wild. He turned back to the stranger. "Hmf," he snorted, though he supposed his answer was good enough, "s'alright, I guess... but that thing needs trainin'." His frown persisted as he stared at the massive animal again, his brows furrowed thickly between his eyes.

With a shake of his head, he turned away, momentarily trusting the horse named Stranger to stay where he was. Ice-blue eyes found the muscled purebred and sighed as he moved forward, extending a hand. "I'm Denver," he introduced simply, nodding a more friendly greeting. The pale dog cleared his throat and ran a self-conscious hand through his short-cropped hair. "So, uh, what brings you out here...?" Small talk never was his strong point, but the genes of the stranger had him intrigued enough to keep talking. Where had this purebred dog come from?
