Satisfied for the moment that the beast lurking behind him wasn't going to kill him (yet), Denver crossed his arms and inhaled deeply. "So, Dresden..." he started, finding himself looking up at the man at far too great of an angle. He took a step back, then, and cleared his throat, starting over. "So, where were you born, man?" he asked, looking him over again. Denver had been shorter than his parents (and almost everyone else), but had he been that much shorter? It unsettled him, but he tried not to think about it. "Haven't met too many other dogs 'round here; 'specially not Huskies. You pure blooded?" Maybe he was prying too much, now, but he thought he knew the answer, anyways. For a moment he felt around in the pockets of his pants, angling for a lighter and a smoke, but came up empty. "Wish I had a smoke," he grumbled, craving one deeply now, for no good reason. He hadn't brought any, since he had just come for exercise; he only had a few, anyways, and he supposed he should save them, or something. Annoyed, he sighed and stared over at the wild beast again, his half-curled tail flicking once when the creature's breath startled him.
