The specter of death could speak! Perhaps she should have inquired that before assuming the creature was dumb… Outside of the Nomad community she had come across few animals like the black feline before her. The ones she had were much, much larger and advised in their own silent displays that she keep away from them. It was a warning she was happy enough to oblige.

But this little creature before her didn’t pose much of a threat, though its disposition appeared rather annoyed to her. Beside her, her nameless companion snatched another bit of hare and consumed it quietly, not so much as giving the feline the time of day. Noticing this, she felt eased enough to speak in return. “I am X’yrin. This bird has no name. Have we somehow disturbed you, Element?” The inquired with genuine concern. “We hadn’t meant to.”
