WHEE. Big Grin I have been wanting to thread with you since you joined. 8D Oh, and Tayui is in her lupus form. :3
Tayui had been keeping close to the southeast part of the peninsula since her meeting with her comrades. She knew she wasn't ready to venture farther north quite yet, and so, she had decided it would be safer to remain here. Despite news of a war, Tayui was confident remaining here until her plan was ready was a better idea than hatching it prematurely and ruining it. She had heard of the many crimes committed between three packs, all of which she never would have thought to go to war. Once she'd found out, she'd inquired about the status of her son -- was he alive? Dead? Missing? -- but to no avail. She'd ventured to AniWaya a few days ago and was able to track him down. She'd howled for him and he came quickly to greet her. He had smelled different and she'd nearly cried seeing him so hurt and damaged. But after it was all done, she felt better knowing he was still alive.

It made her wonder how much more alive she was. She wanted to feel something, but she was having trouble connecting with others. Everything felt so distant, and now, it felt like her sons and her comrades were the only ones she had left. She'd alienated herself from her friends and this was where it got her. She liked to think of this often because the idea of losing them hurt so much: it was masochistic and it was inevitable because her mind had a horrible habit of wandering.

So, as she meandered through the streets of Halifax, she let her mind wander again. She wanted to explore some of the houses and see if there was anything she could salvage. While she figured they'd already been torn apart by luperci, there had to be something someone didn't grab or something that didn't have any value to them.

Curiosity was another devil that lived within her. So, when she saw another wolf walking through the streets, she felt compelled to call out for him. She could smell him better than she could see him; the failing sun made it difficult to discern much more than a blurry figure in the distance.

She figured that if her comrades needed more men it couldn't hurt to say hello. She let out a quick yip and then trotted closer.

"Hey! Hello!" she shouted after the wolf. She stayed a good six metres away from the wolf, not wanting to startle him. She approached cautiously, keeping her tail held high and her ears swiveled forward.
