darkness setting in

Things had been clouding her mind. And while she moved around the caves, gears in her head spun around, drowning out any sound or signs of the outside world. It was by rare chance that anything, or anyone had penetrated her mind, but as the other female's voice became audible, Io quickly rose to her feet and directed her sharp silver gaze to the darker woman. Upon seeing that it was merely another pack member, Io relaxed, rolling back down onto her haunches and smiling half heartedly. 'Morning' she purred, remebering the fact that she had actually noted the suns position in the sky before netering the perpetual darkness

She didn't know this woman. Of course she had passed her in the caves, and at the pack meetings and her scent was heavy around the packlands, but none of the times they had passed each other had them stopped to fully address each other and converse. Now, they had too. For both had paused at the same spot and neither showed any sign of wanting to move. Not that Io was fussed, friends were always welcome in a pack.
