WC:370+ / Urgh. Sucky post, and omg Cain is immature xD
It seemed that his irritation, or maybe it was intimidation and discomfort, regarding the others superior height had shown in his face or body language somehow. Whatever the case he now found himself consciously making his body relax to conceal his thoughts and the secrets it seemed to reveal, for he was an unknown male seeking acceptance from this new pack and going around picking fights and showing obvious irritation and any form of aggression because a boy is taller than him.. probably would not make a good impression. Sure, it would make him feel better to knock the boy down a peg or two, but his reaction to the others height was stemmed from an inferiority complex of sorts; never before had he encountered such a young and tall male, and it hurt his pride and damaged his self esteem that the boy towered above him. Stubbornly he kept his head titled up so that he looked the other in the eye, not willing to admit to the other nor himself that the other male's height had effected him to such a degree. Egotistical guy that he was, appearances were everything and if he could win with height, he'd win by being the best looking, stubborn guy out there.
Thankfully the boy provided a distraction by speaking and offering an outstretched hand. Looking at the male's hand he considered ignoring the welcome, but knew that would be both rude and immature of him and so he lifted an arm, placing his hand into the others. "Cain. Cain Hayes" he introduced himself, feeling unsure of how to behave around this male; Enzo was taller than him, seemingly outgoing and apparently the alpha's son. And so he choose to say as little as possible and keep to himself. Doing nothing seemed the best way to handle the kid, for once and if he was accepted he could avoid the boy and get on with his life, he merely had to tolerate the child for now.
"Yeah, if you could" he responded, before mumbling a reluctant 'thanks' afterwards. He knew he was being incredibly childish and immature to be sulking about the whole height ordeal, but it bothered him for some reason.
