The man grunted and growled as she struggled to get the long post into place , splinter brushed off and tangled into his fur which served as a further source of irritation to him. As of late he was a very very busy man. Not only did he have to take care of the entire animal population of Anathema alone, he was also in the process of building his home and finishing construction on the stables and surrounding paddocks. Hence he was extremely busy at all hours of the day and night, when he couldn't sleep he would often come out to work on quieter things. He was very focused on his work, wanting to finish this fence before the end of the day and the sun had already passed its highest mark and was on its decent. He huffed with annoyance and finally managed to get the long post secured against the two support poles that had been set into the ground.
He never even noticed Aeron in the distance with her feline friends, he just carried on with his work until he managed to drop a beam onto his foot prompting a loud barked yell of pain. The beam was hurled away as though it weighed less than nothing, flying away from him and landing a good 50 foot away. He leaned against his mostly built fence and lifted his foot upwards to inspect the damage. Several splinters had been driven into his skin and he gritted his teeth while he slowly pulled them out. The appendage throbbed sharply and he hissed, at least nothing had been broken thankfully and he could move each of his toes without much impairment. A broken foot right now would be disastrous for Io and Aeron, he wouldn't be able to take care of them then.
