The female caved under his blow—or at least was knocked a step backwards. She managed to shake him away slightly, her teeth nipping at his soft fur with a growl that he reciprocated. As soon as she hit the ground, however, he was unable to keep his weak hold. He panted, green eyes watching her intently, and he waggled his tail tiredly as she play-bowed again.
Her taunt was enough to send another growl from his jaws, but Skoll was bowled over by the swat of her black paw. He managed to regain balance surprisingly quickly and leaped right at her face, trying to bite her ear and smack her nose with his paws to deter her from biting him back. His movements were slightly more sluggish than at the beginning of their story-game, as this was more energy than he’d unleashed in quite a while. The Prince was getting exhausted, but he wouldn’t let an enemy go undefeated if he could help it.
