The amenities provided by her change in location were nice indeed. A little stroll from the Ichikan borders lead her through the Wentworth to the shored end of the territory. The warrior hadn’t seen waves as often as she would have liked. And a strange comfort came in listening to the rushing waves as they churned to shore. So used to the still, unmoving earth, this change brought a smile the likes which few had witnessed. It was a fearful, excited smile as if she couldn’t tell which to express more. It kept her on the edge of wonderment. Her Optime body treading atop the soft granules, feeling the grit as it provided new sensations as it slipped through her defined digits. How strange… but nice.

She had intended to simply come to the shores to bathe but from her purposeful intent distracted by the newness of it all. Compared to the rivers that lay dormant and dull, these rolling waves, the salty spray in the air, was truly wonderful. The woman sighed, adorned with a comfortable smile as she looked out beyond the white foam and churned to the shores and off to the deep blue that spanned to lands unknown.

So consumed by her own musings, she hadn’t noticed a large shape down the rim of the shore. Were it not for the agitated call of her owl, she would have continued as she had without care. The avian swept down with talons unfurled then lapsed onto her vacant shoulder; her treasured furred shoulder left behind with her intent to bathe. “Movement. Something… moves.” Gradually, she came to better understand the hoots of her owl, learning that it was not his intelligence that was the issue, but her understanding of his speech. Still, she could only pick bits and pieces of his language, but it was enough to grasp his urgent message; they were not alone.

She raised a claw to allow her nameless companion to nibble it to bring him comfort, assuring him with a soft rumble there was no need to worry. She looked across the expansive shores and saw the movement her friend attempted to warn her about. Of course, his words were heeded as an engaging opportunity as opposed to a warning, and wasted little time in crossing the distance. Her towering form strode gracefully across the sands, no longer burdened by the awkward shuffling of lack of use. She had ground more confident, the dark cloud that once hung over her had parted allowing her true radiance to come forth once again. She smiled warmly to the dark figure and his steed as she approached, her nostrils encapsulated by his strong, lupine musk. Her tail waved in greeting as she lifted her paw, palm forward in welcome. Her companion too greeted the stranger with a soft, careful hoot. “Hello there.”
