She needed a bath. Not a poor excuse for grooming fiasco, but an actual deep soak to rid herself of the grime that clung to her pelt. Her scent was still heavily drenched in that of her ompre, making it difficult to sift out her own, but topping the melding of his musk and her subtle own was the overpowering stench of earth and decaying leaf. She couldn't stand another day without a soak, and today would be the day she saw it through.

Once the woman was free from her den, she about ran full sprint to the banks of the river, not stopping til her toes were dipped in the cool waters. Grace be damned. With a howl of relief and comical dive, she fell into the clear waters, the entrance made large by her heavy form awkwardly impacting the once tranquil body. And once her body was fully submerged, she waded, relaxing as the gentle lap of the water dislodged grit and debris from her hide, leaving her feeling refreshed and cleansed. This was so long overdue...

A good amount of time passed before the woman felt she was clean enough to dry. Reluctantly she paddled to the banks, having gotten used to the weightlessness of her body within water, and stretched herself out along its side. As the afternoon sun reached its peak, the warrior found herself basking under the drying sun, smiling contently at the warmth upon her side. Occasionally she would roll from one side to the other allowing for even drying before laying still on the grass simply relishing in the sensation of this peaceful day.
