The humming died on Neela's lips as a deep bark sounded from behind her, followed by a high-pitched noise that Neela couldn’t quite place. It seemed that company had managed to find Neela, rather than the other way around. Letting out a sharp whistle to call Grynn down from her search Neela turned around to see who had called her.
As she turned around she could see a multi-coloured Luperci off in the distance, who seemed to be carrying an indistinct black bundle that Neela couldn’t quite make out. Happy for the company Neela let out a soft but loud woof of greeting and began to trot over. As she did so she shifted from Lupus to Optime, deftly catching and putting on her belt and guitar as she did so.
"Hey there! I'm N-" Neela's friendly greeting was stopped short as she finally got close enough to recognise the small bundle for what it actually was, a puppy. Looking at the puppy sent a wave of sadness running through her, while the puppy that this stranger was carrying looked completely different, simply the sight of a mother and her pup reminded Neela of her own child, Leon.
A child that had tried to kill her just over four months ago, a child that had sworn that he would track her down and finish the job.
For the moment that it took her mind to process these thoughts a mixture of sadness, regret and a small amount of longing was clearly visible in her eyes as her gaze caught on the puppy, before she forcibly tore her eyes away and towards the females face, burying the melancholy feelings deep inside her mind and trying to bring her previous cheerfulness back up.
"Umm yeah, I'm Neela." Her previous cheerfulness and smile was back in full force, though there was a slightly forced undertone just barely visible and the smile hadn’t quite reached her eyes, which still held a tinge of sadness.
