She remained extremely leery of the bird as the woman reversed her stepping several paces, putting a small amount of distance between the two females. The tips of her ivory fangs were still exposed as a warning of what would happen should her patience be tested. The low speech of the avian language interested her but she didn't show it and remained singularly focused upon the thing she considered a threat. Her mismatched gaze followed the bird of prey as it took off from Neela's shoulder and circled overhead before flying off into the distance. Only once the bird had gone from sight did Jace allow herself to relax at all and even then only fractionally, she was too tightly wound now and her eyes flicked this way and that looking for any other predators that might take a chance at her child before settling back onto Neela. The ends of her teeth were re-covered and her harsh breathing began to slow, adrenalin slowly leaking from her pores and body.

The submission of the lower ranked woman to her while going some way towards easing her anxiety did not change her feelings towards the bird she had sent away. Should it have chosen to come back at that moment it would have received the same reception, fangs and snarls. Her words however, had her eyes narrowing slightly as though trying to stare out a lie, before resuming their usual width. The girl in her arms squirmed and squalled, demanding that she be put down. This dragged her attention from Neela to Dalgina who she quietened with a firm glance. As her gaze returned to the collie woman it was softened, the harsh lines no longer quite so deep set into her muzzle. She had no wish to make an enemy of Neela, nor drive her away as a potential friend. She hesitated a second before gesturing with a paw that she should return to her former height,

"You know this?" she said, referring to Neela's statement that Grynn wouldn't hurt her child. She found it doubtful that such a predatory bird would ignore its instincts of going for easy prey.
