Teo's song was rudely interrupted when a taller, pale dog stumbled out of the bushes. Ears flicking foward, Teo stopped playing, mixed-hued eyes alert and watching the other man with a mixture of alarm and danger.
Then the guy spoke his name and confusion was added into the mix of emotions.

His tone was steady, careful and his movements were equally so; slowly, he slid his flute back into his satchel bag and stood a little taller, eyes narrowing. And why are you sneaking around? Don't you know a territory border when you see one? Damn tourists.
He could tell from the man's coat and build that he had to have been a Wolfhound; a dangerous breed, rarely seen in America, though vaguely more common in Europe. The man's voice alone told Matteo that he was Italian, which meant he'd probably have heard of the Trovato name. Was this person sent by Amy? Maybe the family? Teo couldn't help but feel alarmed by his sudden presence; just earlier, he'd met another person from his homeland. What were the chances he'd meet two?
