Éloise’s food supply had been shrinking, and that was a very terrifying thought indeed. The old woman had been so focused on the small game around the graveyard that she had been haunting recently that once the supply was essentially gone, Él hadn’t thought of what to do when all the rabbits and squirrels disappeared. And now she was hungry and even leaner than before.
So she had left the abandoned city for a time, heading into unknown territory to eat. She couldn’t remember the last time she had taken down anything significant, but hunger was something she was used to. It was just a part of loner life. She had smelled the packs nearby when she made her initial trek to the city; she even interacted with a few of the pack members as well. Still, she chose a life on her own. She wasn’t sure how long this area would keep her locked down; Éloise wasn’t even sure why she stayed here in the first place.
Dusty paws carried her far from her base camp and into the woods. She much preferred the cover of trees and the tranquility that came with it. The ghost of a woman stopped and drank by a small stream, almost gone due to the weather. It had gotten chilly, but it was no matter to the female. Her thick coat, however scraggly, had always prevented her from getting cold. She drank heavily, relishing in the quick break before she continued on, head held high.
