He seemed shy to her, shier than maybe anyone she had met in Inferni so far. His facial expression did not change the whole time, but the way he pinned his tail and he hid behind his mount said that he was not comfortable with her being so close to him. She bent a large, overgrown ear back on her head, while the other stayed pinned on him so that she could hear him when he spoke. She was not prepared for the male to not be able to speak to her, and she did notice the big scar that his tattoo sat on top of, but it did not occur to her that he could not speak. She watched him watching her though, his beautiful ruby eyes distrusting, and distant. She wondered why he was so distant. Was he more troubled than she was? It was possible.

He scrambled around in his back, pulling out a pen and paper, and he wrote words down on the paper and showed it to her. She slowly looked at the paper, but was distracted by an object he dropped. She bent down and picked it up and looked at it before she returned her attention to the notepad that was practically being shoved in her face. She smiled brightly though, this time, not faked. She loved to read, but she didn't know that this male had been one whom would be a writer, if not by choice then by the necessity of communication with others. She'd never met a mute before. Her eyes went from the paper to his scarred neck. She figured that something happened to him then, to hinder his vocal chords so that he could not speak with his mouth. It must have been hard to communicate with luperci whom could not read, and until recently, she would not have been able to read his words. This had to be a reason why he was so withdrawn, so shy. There weren't many whom were actually able to communicate with the poor male. Valkyrie was excited to meet him, but she also felt sympathy for the male. She decided then, just then, that she would continue to talk to this male, and to help him come out of whatever shell he had there, and to help him become an active member of the clan rather than a man in the background, always looking in from a clouded window.

There was a name on the paper. She did not know how to pronounce it, but she tried. "Well, It's nice to meet you, mister Sas-cha Ul-rich." she butchered his name, pronouncing the Russian/German name as it was spelt and not the way it was actually spoken on the tongue. It's not like he would be able to really correct her, unless he spelt out the pronunciation of it. She then pointed to the base of her neck and looked at him in his ruby eyes that were so enchanting. Is this the reason you write words on paper, because you can't talk because of what happened there?" she asked, curiously, both of her ears pressing forward instinctively, as if she was still trying to hear him. She wondered what his voice would sound like if he did have one. Would he actually be more vocal and less shy if he did have the ability to speak? Valkyrie did wonder this, but it was not something that would really be able to be spoken about to the male.

You weren't born in Inferni, right? Are you from this area? she asked in the most clear voice she could put on, her tongue quickly dropping the faked accent because she wanted the male to be able to understand her.
