His mother's dramatic hand gestures were far from new to him. He had his own bad habits with hand waving while speaking, and rarely regarded them, so second nature were they. Savina dramatically spoke against the cold weathers, but the young son laughed at his mother's humor. She had chosen to settle here, that much was certain, and it was entirely her fault for being cold. He just rolled his eyes good naturedly at the dark woman, bending over to give her an awkward standing hug as she sat on the seat. He did not want to make her rise, especially since this was probably one of her spare moments in a day. Maybe he was already disturbing her. His ears almost flattened but he managed to keep them straight as he smiled softly at Savina. "Oh Mama, that's entirely your own fault and you know it. Dovuto andare ai Caraibi," he said with a shake of his head.

Dragging the wooden chair from the table beside his mother, Silvano set his elbows in the armrest. "Ai, Mama. Non è facile." He looked at the door to the library, to make sure that his words would not leak out to the parties not present. As he gazed at the door for that one moment, he let his fingers pull at his own hair in nerves. His mother was the best source for womanly information he knew, and his sisters would probably be very worried. And disturbed to talk about girls with their brother. Oh, why had Gotham left? His advice was so welcome right now. Brother to brother was a lot easier than brother to sister, or even brother to father. And now, he was talking to his mother of all people. He had to be wary with her, and make sure to keep it clean. Granted, he was an adult but that was no reason he had to be uncouth with her. She deserved his respect more than anyone else did, both as his mother and as his leader.

"You know Giselle, right, Mama? La bella ragazza pallida?" He swore they had this conversation, or was that with Anu? That conversation had been so long ago and so much had happened between then and now. On top of that, he had already come to terms with so much but was unsure if his mother was aware. How to proceed? "She's the one with the stoat creature?" Sighing, Silvano waved his hand to clear the air of his uncertainty. "Well, I think I want her, you know." He felt his skin grow hot at the way he phrased it. It seemed so very strange. "No, no, I mean, not like that. Oh, damn it. I mean, mate, you know. As a mate." He felt oh so terribly flustered at this conversation and it had just started. Hopefully, his mother would understand where his words were coming from and what he meant. Silvano cared about Giselle but was uncertain about how to proceed. He did not know how to ask her that question nor did he truly know what it meant to be a good mate. Surely his mother knew? Two litters of healthy children and that many and more years of being with his father had to amount to something. She had to know something else.
