Oh, it had been made clear to her that she wouldn’t be queen, but they couldn’t deny her royal blood and flawless appearance. The clan’s most refined warrior had been well aware of what had been going on in the back yard of her mansion, but stars didn’t prepare the scene before the big bang, and the thought to assist never even crossed the warrior princess’ mind. And as what was fitting for a divine creature of her stature, she arrived fashionably late, only because she could.

Perhaps today could have become the day where the two children of the truest perfection could be revealed to the clan, but Halo had decided against visually bragging of the beautiful offspring she had birthed into this ugly world. But they would grow to be tall and immortal like their parents. No blood was purer than theirs. The Lykoi woman was certain that their blood would stain blue if she was to prick their delicate skin with a sharp, cat-like claw. No, her dearest small ones would remain upstairs, sweetly asleep in their mother's bed.

The door silently shut behind the slender predator as she entered the back yard of the human made building that she had considered hers for years. One hand supported the sweet curve of her hip as she moved to mingle with the gathering crowd. Hues vibrant like lit, fresh blood quietly took in all the new faces that had arrived to play pack with the few truly worthy of Inferni.

Her upper lip curled the slightest as she noted that the returning pigmy with the horrendous tail had apparently copied her use of wolf pelt. Monkey see, monkey do. Dark pupils focused on the face of the Lykoi cousins she had yet to investigate. How exciting to have fresh blood of promise amongst the scum. Would they rise or fall, she wondered.

She decided against settling on top of a dirty log like some of the others had. The woman felt no particular need to draw to any of the present canines, and gracefully made her way to stand close by the fire, for her auburn hues displayed the shine from the dancing fire’s light particularly well, she thought. It didn’t mean that none were worthy of her presence, but she had the ability to shine alone.

Scarlet eyes with the intensity of a hawk’s merciless stare finally settled on the dirt-blonde hues of their so-called Aquila. He was alone now, the poor bastard. He deserved loneliness. A sugar-sweet smile settled on dark lips, setting light to her face, which was as beautiful on the outside as she was ugly on the inside.

Your faith walks on broken glass

Halo Lykoi
