The Witch Doctor

Word Count → 368 :: I figure this could be a few weeks after part one. I can back-date that one. xD Forgot to originally.

The playful sounds carried into the yard where Sky had been sitting, getting some fresh air. Fella had decided to stay inside, but he watched her from the window, blue eyes never leaving her for a moment. Anyone else would've thought it to be unsettling, having a bobcat watching your every move, but Sky knew better; he was watching to make sure she didn't leave. The kitten was protective of her, though to her releif, not in a violent way. Constantly at her heels, now that he could walk quick enough to keep up with her. Fella had, in a way, become a second child for Sky; already, he was speaking tiny amounts of high-speech. She couldn't be more proud. Of both of her children, cat and wolf alike.

Eventually, she was stirred into standing. Why? A familiar feeling in her lower back. A sort of dull ache, one that she didn't have normally. Flashes of her sons reminded her of where she'd felt it before and a smile played on her face. She slipped inside without a word to her mate and daughter, leaving them to their play for the time being. Fella bounced along at her heels.

She slipped into the supply closet and rummaged around... until she found a tiny set of bottles with clearish liquids in them. She took them with her as she fled to the... outhouse... for a moment alone. Fella sat outside the door quietly, waiting for her to come back out.

A liquid turned blue. Positive. Sky had never been more grateful to humans for inventing these old fashioned pregnancy tests; simply add urine to chemicals and boom, instant answer. No waiting, no worrying. And this time, it was a sound yes. She had finally managed to get pregnant!

With a grin on her face, she hurried out of the... outhouse... bathroom... area... and darted into the livingroom, only to stop at the door with a grin on her face, leaning on the frame with Fella filling the space on the other side. Can Mum interrupt for a moment? I've got some good news. Her voice was excited, but controlled to be motherly for Tammy. She'd never been more excited.
